Description
Senegal's ruling coalition Benno Bokk Yakaar (BBY) holds a press conference to defend the postponement of the presidential election scheduled for February 25, 2024. Members of the National Assembly voted on Monday evening to postpone the election until December 15, 2024, described by the opposition as an "institutional coup d'état". "It became clear to us that the conditions for a free, transparent and inclusive election were not in place," explains chairman of the BBY parliamentary group Abdou Mbow. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
