Ballot counting begins at a polling station in capital Baku, after Azerbaijanis voted in a snap presidential election. A crackdown on independent media and the absence of any real opposition boosted the certainty of an easy win for incumbent Ilham Aliyev, whose troops recaptured the Nagorno-Karabakh enclave from Armenian separatists in September.
