Description
With 100 days to go before the Paris Olympics, French Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra reaffirms that "the scenario on the Seine remains absolutely dominant" for the Games' opening ceremony. "We mustn't let threats, dangers, world instabilities or the threat of terrorism deprive us of our dreams", she says. The president of the Olympic organising committee, Tony Estanguet, says he has "total confidence" in the authorities on this issue. The President of the French Olympic Committee (CNOSF), David Lappartient, felt that World Athletics' decision to financially reward gold medals at the Paris Olympics constitutes a "change" in "Olympic values".
