Venezuela will be able to continue working with transnational oil companies, says Oil Minister Pedro Tellechea, following the US decision to extend a license easing sanctions on the country's oil and gas trade. Washington announced it would not renew License 44 but would only extend it until May 31 under "Licence 44A" to punish Maduro for preventing the opposition from running in presidential elections and for arresting politicians and activists.
