Description
Supporters of Julian Assange gather outside the High Court in London as it announces it is giving the US government three weeks to provide further "assurances" on the Wikileaks founder's treatment if he is sent there to face charges over the 2010 release of military and diplomatic files. The 52-year-old now faces a wait to learn if he can make a last-ditch appeal against extradition. Among the supporters is former Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn, who says US President Biden must decide if he wants history to remember him as "the one that put a brave journalist who told the truth about war crimes into a super max prison for the rest of his life."
