Yamaha has begun manufacturing motors for electric bikes at its French factory in Saint-Quentin, northern France, the historic production site of Motobécane and Mobylette. On Wednesday, the Japanese brand inaugurated an assembly line for e-bike motors, which should strengthen its position in the European market in the face of industry giants Bosch and Shimano.
