Description
It's a sunny start to a new season of mail delivery by barge for postwoman Andrea Bunar, continuing a 127-year-old tradition. Whatever the weather, from April to October, the 53-year-old postwoman delivers mail and parcels by barge to the residents of Lehde. This village of 149 inhabitants, located in the scenic Spree Forest, has 65 dwellings that are inaccessible by road, but which the German Post Office still has to honour with a daily delivery round.
