Description
Ukrainian serviceman Artem Moroz, who lost both his legs below the knee, runs ahead of a pack of veterans during Kyiv's annual half-marathon. The 45-year-old has been injured twice on duty, the second resulting in amputation. A group of around 20 soldiers from the Next Step Ukraine rehabilitation center, some in wheelchairs, participated for 300 metres at the race start as part of a campaign for the Revived Soldiers Ukraine charity. Moroz, Ukrainian flag in hand, says this is to show newly hospitalised soldiers that life doesn't stop after getting injured. "I show (them) ... you can run with prostheses too," Moroz says.
