This is despite ongoing controversy surrounding the constitutional reform, approved by lawmakers earlier this month, to switch the country from a presidential to a parliamentary system – a change that opposition parties say will allow President Faure Gnassingbe to extend his grip on power. "We shouldn't expect much from the legislative elections.
