Description
Around 2,000 Scottish independence campaigners march in Glasgow in a show of support for the devolved UK country's flagging movement for self-rule ahead of a general election later this year. The march comes after Peter Murrell, the former chief executive of the pro-independence Scottish National Party (SNP) and husband of former first minister Nicola Sturgeon, was charged on Thursday for the embezzlement of £600,000 in donations meant for independence campaigning. "Peter Murrell is not the SNP - he’s a member of the SNP, he’s unfortunately a very prominent member of the SNP. But, as a party we are capable of adapting," says Ellie Koepplinger, an SNP member attending the march. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
