Description
South Africa's ruling African National Congress (ANC) party says it "intends to appeal" a ruling made by the high court in the coastal city of Durban allowing ex-President Jacob Zuma's new party, uMkhonto weSizwe (MK), to use its name and logo in May's general election. "The ANC will be appealing the matter to stop and prohibit the unlawful use of the ANC's trademarks, symbols and heritage by Mr Zuma's party," ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula tells reporters in Johannesburg.
