Description
FILE IMAGES of a 2023 court appearance by Yuri Kokhovets who has been sentenced by a Moscow court to five years of correctional labour for giving a spontaneous street comment to foreign media against the Kremlin's Ukraine offensive in 2022. The sentencing is the first known case against a man who expressed critical opinion in an on-the-street interview to journalists. Kokhovets was found guilty of "spreading false information against the Russian army", an independent Russian media outlet reported. FILE IMAGES
