Long before Russia sent its troops to Ukraine, rights groups had sounded the alarm over the country's poor record on protecting women from domestic violence. But now, with the conflict in its third year, campaigners say that the problem could be getting even worse. Sofia Rusova, from the advocacy group Consortium, says she has received around 10 reports of veteran violence, something she expects to "get worse over time" as more men return home.
