Description
Detained Russian theatre director Yevgeniya Berkovich and fellow playwright Svetlana Petriychuk appear via video link for a Moscow City Court hearing where their pre-trial detention was upheld. The pair were arrested in 2023 on charges of "justifying terrorism", stems from their award-winning play about Russian women who were recruited into the Islamic State (IS) group and travel to Syria to marry IS fighters before returning to Russia.
