A total of 82 people have been arrested over the past two days in connection with riots in the French Pacific territory of New Caledonia, in which businesses were burned and shots were fired at police, announces French Interior and Overseas Territories Minister Gerald Darmanin, who says that "four additional mobile gendarmerie units are leaving for Noumea this morning".
