Description
Brazil's Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, sits down for an exclusive interview with AFP to discuss the historic floods that have devastated southern Brazil in recent weeks, leaving at least 150 dead, more than a hundred missing and 617,000 people displaced.
As the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul faces colossal material damage to the region's booming economy, Silva says it shows the country needs to create "cities that are resilient" to climate change, for which the world is "not prepared". IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
