Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who was seriously wounded by bullets on Wednesday, 'underwent surgery today' and 'his condition is still very serious', according to Slovak Deputy Prime Minister Robert Kalinak. Two days after the attack, which occurred while he was greeting supporters in central Slovakia, the 59-year-old leader remains hospitalised in intensive care. SOUNDBITES
