Payal Kapadia's film 'All We Imagine as Light' received an eight-minute standing ovation after it premièred at Cannes on May 23. At a press conference, Kapadia explains how the city of Mumbai, its sounds and the city's changing light helped transform a "project" into a debut fiction feature that tells the story of two young women who share a room in the city.
