Description
South African musician Ofentse Pitse discusses her journey from being an inquisitive 12-year-old churchgoer, to becoming the country’s first black woman to lead and own an all-black orchestra. Speaking at a rehearsal ahead of a collaboration between her orchestra, Anchored Sound, and other guest musicians, she says she wants to "transcend"; to make music for classical music experts, but also for those who are new to the genre. “So it's like I always try to bring various worlds together that you never see,” she says.
