With a two-month government ban on the rapid construction along the coastline of Senegal’s capital Dakar set to end next month, locals in the area are already voicing their concerns about what will come next. Many feel powerless in the face of the relentless build-up. "What can we do? You can't get into fights with people who are stronger than you," says Bathie Faye, owner of a beachfront cabin.
