Description
"Since President Biden's announcement last week, the number of irregular migrants arriving at the US border has already dropped," says US ambassador to Ken Salazar, regarding an executive order barring migrants who enter the US illegally from claiming asylum when numbers surge past 2,500 in a day.
Speaking at a press conference in Mexico City, Salazar adds that the US hopes the Mexican judiciary will be "strengthened" after president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum promised a wide consultation on proposed judicial reforms that have shaken investor confidence following her landmark election win.
