The funeral of Lionel Paita, grandson of the chief of Paita and a victim of the unrest that has shaken inthe French Pacific territory New Caledonia , was held on his tribal land in the heart of the forest. "The French state killed my son," said Lionel Paita senior, himself the son of Grand Chief Clement Paita.
