“It was heartbreaking to see,” Ayman said in Al-Mawasi, an area in the southern Gaza Strip near Rafah, after an Israeli strike that Palestinians say targeted the tents of displaced civilians. The International Committee of the Red Cross says 22 people were killed in the shell attack Friday near its Gaza office. While the health ministry in the Hamas-run territory blames the shelling on Israel, an Israeli Defense Force spokesman does not acknowledge any role in the incident but says it is under review.
