Eighty adrenaline seekers fiercely compete on a track in old Volvo or Saab cars at the Fjaras Motor Club in southern Sweden, trying their best not to topple over. "Folkrace" is one of the most popular forms of rallycross car racing in Sweden, kept inexpensive thanks to its lottery system for buying and selling competitors' cars. "Everyone in my family drives, including my mom and dad, so I have always been on folkrace or rallycross. So I’m born into this," explains Emelie Bergbom, who has competed in folkraces for 15 years.
