Zhang Zhijie, a 17-year-old Chinese badminton player, has died of cardiac arrest after collapsing on court during a tournament in Indonesia. The teenager received treatment at the venue and was rushed to hospital by ambulance, but passed away later that night after repeated efforts to resuscitate him failed. "The victim experienced loss of consciousness with inadequate breathing and was immediately taken to the Dr Suhardi Hardjolukito hospital," says Broto Happy, the spokesman for the Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI).
