Description
The lawyer for the family of a Nigerian man who died in custody in Switzerland in a case that has drawn comparisons to George Floyd's killing in the United States has said "there was no will to investigate the case." Speaking outside the courthouse in Renens in western Switzerland as an appeals trial began of six police officers aquitted over the death of Mike Ben Peter, Simon Ntah says: "It turns out that, in fact, from the outset of this investigation, it was not conducted in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure. In fact, there is every reason to believe that there was no will to investigate this case." In the video, demonstrators outside the courthouse hold a sign reading "Sans justice, pas de paix! (No justice, no peace!") IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
