CEO Christel Bories calls the inauguration of the lithium production plant in Argentina by French mining group Eramet and China's Tsingshan "a milestone for the global market of metals for the energy transition." The $870 million production project in the northwestern province of Salta aims to supply the booming electric car industry, with batteries capable of powering up to 600,000 vehicles a year, Bories says.
