"We've been waiting and hoping for this conviction," says Jean-Christophe Coubris, the lawyer representing Naomi Musenga's family, after the Strasbourg magistrates' court found the EMT call operator who mocked the 22-year-old woman, who died shortly afterwards in hospital, guilty of 'failing to assist a person in danger' in 2017 and sentenced her to a 12-month suspended prison sentence. "Justice has been served with a balanced decision," praised the lawyer.
