Stockshots of military posters in the centre of the Russian capital, Moscow. On February 24, 2022, Vladimir Putin announced a "Special Military Operation" - referred to by its Russian acronym "SVO". The abbreviation is seen on billboards on the side of the road. It’s also present within the slogan “join our people”, which is also seen around the city, to encourage Russians to join the army.
