Mourners gather at Khan Yunis's Nasser hospital around the body of a Palestinian civil defence worker killed in an Israeli strike on southern Gaza's Al-Mawasi. The health ministry in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip said at least 92 people had been killed and 300 wounded in the strike on Al-Mawasi on July 13, an Israeli-designated "safe zone" on the Mediterranean coast. Israel said it had targeted militant commander Mohammed Deif, who has been among Israel's most wanted men for decades and is accused by Israeli authorities of helping to "mastermind" the October 7 attack.
