South Africa launches the Selemela Solar Park that is set to provide more than 200MW of clean, renewable energy to Tronox Mineral Sands, part of the American mining and titanium ore processing giant Tronox. There are nearly 400,000 bifacial solar modules on single-axis trackers spread over around 430 hectares (around 1.7 square miles) at the solar park which is located around a three hour drive west from Johannesburg just outside the town of Lichtenburg.
