In a reserve in northwestern Colombia, a collection of 25,000 orchids from all over the world is agricultural technologist Daniel Piedrahita's passion. He grows exotic and native species—given, bought, and even cloned—in an effort to save endangered species from extinction. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
