National police reinforced security around Venezuela's National Electoral Council (CNE) after its president, Elvis Amoroso, announced that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro had been reelected to a third consecutive six-year term with 51.2% of the vote, a claim rejected by the opposition, which says opposition candidate Edmundo Gonzalez won with 70% of the vote.
