Non-consultant hospital doctors in the UK, known as junior doctors, have been offered a new pay deal by the government which could see their wages rise by 22.3 percent over two years and put an end to strike action. Doctors began industrial action in March 2023, with the aim of a 35 percent pay rise to make up for years of below-inflation pay rises.
