Description
The methodology and tools used to measure the water quality of the river Seine for the Olympic Games is "completely inadequate," according to Dan Angelescu, CEO of Fluidion, which assesses water quality. The triathlons were held on Wednesday in the Seine after a 24-hour delay as organisers deemed the latest water analyses were "in order." The river had been too dirty for swimming all week after a deluge during the opening ceremony of the Games on Friday, with the equivalent of a month's rain falling over 36 hours. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
