Images of Lake Texcoco Ecological Park, east of Mexico City, a project aimed at restoring over 14,000 hectares of land, for it to be declared a Natural Protected Area. The project also seeks to improve the living conditions and opportunities for the region's inhabitants. Environmental restoration efforts will focus on creating biocultural reserve zones and conserving and maintaining bodies of water. This will allow for the recovery of lagoons and wetlands with public access and the hydrological regulation of the area. Additionally, infrastructure development for sports, cultural, and social facilities will be included. IMAGES
