Aerial and ground images show the level of destruction throughout the fire-affected areas in the Karsiyaka district of Izmir. Firefighters have been battling a strong forest fire in Turkey's Aegean city of Izmir since Thursday 15 August. Firefighters say they had partially beaten back the flames that have been threatening the port city over the last three days, although the blaze is still burning in the nearby forests. IMAGES
