Description
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) slams the conviction of Hong Kong pro-democracy news outlet Stand News and its two former chief editors, Chung Pui-kuen and Patrick Lam who have been found guilty of sedition in court on Thursday, 29 August. "This verdict is also unprecedented because, never in the modern history of Hong Kong, any media outlet was prosecuted yet found guilty of publishing factual information articles," says RSF representative Aleksandra Bielakowska, adding that it is "another proof of the deterioration of press freedom in Hong Kong."
