Senior Fellow at the Middle East Insitute Charles Lister says the explosion of hundreds of pagers used by Hezbollah was "unprecedented in scale and sophistication and it really does go to show just how deeply Israel has managed to infiltrate its adversaries". Hanin Ghaddar, a senior fellow with The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, says "most probably, the Israelis have intercepted the supply chain, interfered with the pagers, (and) added a certain explosive material".
