Almost uninhabited and covered mainly by ice, Greenland, like many other countries, loves football. Players in the Danish territory want to compete with other nations, a pipe dream until they join a continental federation. In late May 2024, the small local federation, KAK, announced it had officially applied to join CONCACAF, which covers North America, instead of European football organisation UEFA, which only recognises independent countries.
