Description
Hundreds of Dominicans march to the National Palace in Santo Domingo to urge the government of Luis Abinader to take stricter measures against the "massive illegal migration" from Haiti. "Our country can no longer tolerate one more illegal immigrant," says Angelo Vasquez, the leader of the right-wing movement that organized the march.
Following Haiti's devastating 2010 earthquake, a worsening economic crisis and gang warfare, the migration crisis has been exacerbated by impoverished Haitians seeking a better life in the Dominican Republic. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
