"We are coming closer", says an analyst "to a full-scale regional war" in the Middle East after Iran launched its largest direct attack on Israel to date on October 1. "Israel seems that it is ready, and it wants to escalate its military confrontation with Iran. And I'm not sure what kind of options Iran has in its hands," adds Baraa Shiban, an associate fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in London.
