Originally from Siberia, in the far north, huskies are becoming fashionable in the Sahara thousands of kilometers away. It is not uncommon to see them with their owners on the streets of the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott. "Their beauty is extraordinary, and people love them, and people are starting to promote them here," says Amadou Mbodj, a dog breeder and trainer. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
