Description
In the commune of Givors, south of Lyon, an elementary school has been converted into an emergency accommodation center to house flood evacuees, including asylum seekers housed in a center who were “surprised” by the rising waters. Around a hundred beds were set up in the gymnasium. In all, almost 900 people have been evacuated in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
