Description
In her store located a stone's throw from the wall separating the United States and Mexico, Ida Pedrego sighs at the thought of White House hopefuls visiting the border to talk about immigration. "It's fly in, 'blah, blah, blah', fly out. What can you see, what can you learn in such a fast time?" says the owner of a clothing store in Douglas, Arizona. Immigration is repeatedly cited as a major issue for voters ahead of next month's presidential election. But of the seven swing states expected to decide who gets the keys to the White House, only Arizona has a border with Mexico. For Pedrego, a Democrat, the attention -- and the misrepresentation she feels she hears from Republican candidate Donald Trump -- is tiring. "It saddens me because I've lived here almost, I mean, since I was three... never have I been scared," she says. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
