Description
Former prime minister Yoshihiko Noda, leader of the Constitutional Democratic Party (CDP), stands next to the names of winning candidates after Japan's snap election.
The CDP won between 128 and 191 seats -- up from 96 -- national broadcaster NHK projected.
NHK said that the ruling LDP would win between 153 and 219 seats -- short of the 233 needed for a majority in the 465-seat parliament. IMAGES
