Description
Long lines of vehicles can be seen at petrol stations around Malawi, as the government imposes fuel rationing after a lack of foreign exchange interrupts supplies. The Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority has applied restrictions at specific petrol stations to prevent hoarding and black-market sales. "Sometimes we stay here for three days waiting for fuel," says taxi driver Isaac in the city of Balaka."So, whether fuel comes today or not, I will remain on the queue." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
