During a press conference on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz says that the war in Ukraine "must come to an end" and that that "can only be achieved if Russia halts its aggression and withdraws its troops." He goes on to defend his decision not to send Kyiv long-range Taurus missiles and expresses his concern over the fact that North Korean soldiers have been stationed in Russia. "For Russia to turn to this country as a partner in warfare due to its own need arising from its imperialistic war of aggression is an escalation that must not go unaddressed," he says.
