Description
The Kenyan National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) condemns the abduction and deportation of Ugandan opposition leader Kizza Besigye. "We want to call upon the government not to deport those people who are seeking asylum in our country," says commission vice chair, Raymond Nyeri. “They should abide by international law." Besigye, a one-time ally of Ugandan strongman Yoweri Museveni, has reportedly been kidnapped in Kenya and detained in a Kampala military prison. SOUNDBITE
