Kenyan politician and lawyer Martha Karua says she is still waiting to get approval to represent Ugandan opposition leader, Kizza Besigye, in court in Uganda. Besigye, 68, a medical doctor and longtime critic of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, who was arrested in Kenya last month, faces several charges including unlawful possession of firearms. "I’m expecting a special licence to be issued by the Law Council. As it has been indicated, I applied last week. I was informed that they do not process digital applications so my physical application was brought on Wednesday," Karua says, outside the military court where Besigye appeared for a hearing.
